When was Jesus created?
God created Jesus before creating Adam. In fact, God created Jesus and then used him to make everything else, including the angels. That is why the Bible calls Jesus โthe firstborn of all creationโ by God.โโRead Colossians 1:15, 16.
Before he was born in Bethlehem, Jesus lived as a spirit creature in heaven. When the time came, God transferred Jesusโ life from heaven to Maryโs womb so that he could be born as a human.โโReadย Luke 1:30-32;John 6:38;8:23.

Let’s see are they true in their Claim ?
Colossians 1;15 heading is “The Preeminence of Christ“
heading is not about the creation of JESUS .,Preeminence meaning -the fact of surpassing all others; superiority.
Col 1:15 Who is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn of every creature: KJV
Col 1; 15 15 He is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn of all creation; (New World Translation)
In Both Translations no where is Written that God Created JESUS before created Adam & that God created Jesus and then used him to make everything else.
The concept that Jesus is the first creature unbiblical & it is also irrational.
Let’s see that what is the meaning of First born according to Bible
They think that the term firstborn always refers to the first one created or born. Even though this word can have this meaning, it is also used in reference to one who is supreme or preeminent over someone or something.
1st Example – Let’s read Psalm 89 ;19,20, 26,27
Note, for instance, how the following passage uses this word in relation to King David:
“Of old you spoke in a vision to your godly one, and said: โI have granted help to one who is mighty; I have exalted one chosen from the people. I have found David, my servant; with my holy oil I have anointed him, โฆ26. He shall cry to me, โYou are my Father, my God, and the Rock of my salvation.โ And I will make him the firstborn, the HIGHEST of the kings of the earth.” Psalm 89:19-20, 26-27
Was King David 1st born in his Family ? No . but rather the youngest of eight sons (cf. 1 Samuel 16).
David was neither the first Israelite king since Saul was ruler before him,
So nor the firstborn of his family, Nor the 1st King Of Israel
As the text itself shows, David was firstborn in terms of being supreme over all the other rulers of the earth.
2nd Example -Let’s read Genesis 25:21-26
God sometimes reversed this order, as he did with Jacob and Esau (Genesis 25:21-26),
3rd Example – Let’s read Genesis 48:21-22
These next references assign to Joseph, Jacobโs eleventh son, the rank and status of firstborn:
“Then Israel said to Joseph, โBehold, I am about to die, but God will be with you and will bring you again to the land of your fathers. Moreover, I have given to you rather than to your brothers one mountain slope that I took from the hand of the Amorites with my sword and with my bow.โ” Genesis 48:21-22
Joseph received a mountain slope as a result of being assigned the position of firstborn in place of Reuben, Jacobโs actual firstborn son:
“The sons of Reuben the firstborn of Israel (for he was the firstborn, but because he defiled his father’s couch, his birthright was given to the sons of Joseph the son of Israel, so that he could not be enrolled as the oldest son; though Judah became strong among his brothers and a chief came from him, yet the birthright belonged to Joseph),” 1 Chronicles 5:1-2
With the example of Joseph we see that the firstborn is assigned something extra due to his being the heir:
4th Example – Let’s read Genesis 48;12-20
Manasseh was the firstborn of Joseph, but Jacob bestowed the blessing and rank of the firstborn upon Ephraim (Gn 48:12-20).
The foregoing shows that firstborn doesnโt always refer to one who was born first, but can be used to denote one who is both heir and supreme over the rest.
JESUS is called the Firstborn of ;
- Firstborn among many brethren. Romans 8;29.
- Firstborn of every creature . Colossians 1;15
- Firstborn from the dead . Colossians 1;18, Rev 1;5
This is precisely how Paul used the word firstborn, that the Lord Jesus is Firstborn in the sense of being Supreme over creation and its Heir by virtue of having created all things for himself:
Now read again these verses slowly ;
“He has delivered us from the domain of darkness and transferred us to the kingdom of his beloved Son, in whom we have redemption, the forgiveness of sins. He is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn of all creation. For IN himall things were created, in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or dominions or rulers or authorities–all things were created THROUGH HIM and FOR HIM. AND HE IS BEFORE ALL THINGS, and IN HIM all things hold together. And he is the head of the body, the church. He is the beginning, the firstborn from the dead, THAT IN EVERYTHING HE MIGHT BE PREEMINENT.” Colossians 1:13-18
Paul says that Christ existed before all created things, which means that he is Eternal, that all creation was made by and for him, and that he is actively holding everything together. Paul even says that the reason for Christ being the One to make all created things is so that he could hold the supremacy over all creation!
To reiterate, Jesus is Firstborn because he is the Creator, Sustainer, and Redeemer of all creation, the very Heir and Ruler.
